I got a new job!
I got a new job! After 5.5 years at Cascade PBS I was ready for a change and, whoa baby, my new gig is about as opposite from PBS as I could possibly get.
I am now the new Director of Video Production for The Stranger: an independent, highly opinionated, extremely irreverent news and culture publication that was created in 1991 by one of the original founders of The Onion.
The Stranger posts daily news content on the web and also produces a monthly print edition so, until the tech gods invent a way to print video on newsprint, I will be producing original video for our website and social media channels as well as content that helps promote our news articles and features.
Pretty much every progressive in Seattle relies on The Stranger to make recommendations for local elections - I've used it as a voter guide ever since moving her in 2016 - so it was pretty rad that my first gig at my new job was directing and producing and shooting and editing this short that promotes their picks for November’s general election.
