Movies Made in Seattle

Since the beginning of the film industry, Seattle has provided a unique blend of natural and man made settings ideal for the movies: eye-popping scenery and gritty urban jungles; and, of course, the Space Needle.

I’m particularly proud of this episode of Mossback because I pitched a “Made in Seattle” movie episode and also made a few suggestions about what films we should include. I share a directing credit along with producer Michael McClinton. Editing the footage was a blast. Fortunately, I have a background in editing trailers and episode “look backs” for network shows. It was fun to flex that muscle again.

SCORCHY, is the title I’m most proud of advocating for. It’s a hilarious 70s crime and exploitation film that also has some of the best Seattle car chases of any of the movies we include. (McQ is a close second.)

A special thanks to Seattle’s monthly movie club, Collide-o-Scope, founded by film buffs Shane Wahland and Michael Anderson, for introducing me to SCORCHY!
